Circle of Wellness: a watercolour project to soothe your soul

“Be kinder to yourself. And then let your kindness flood the world.” ― Pema Chodron

Hello friends. How are you? In this most unprecedented time in history, I’m feeling a mix of emotions on a daily, if not hourly, basis.

Do you feel the same?

I’ve created this watercolour project for you to do as an act of selfcare - a kindness to your mind, body and soul. I hope it brings you a feeling of wellbeing. I would love for you to paint this Circle of Wellness for yourself. However, if you simply watch this video and journal for five minutes, or doodle, or mix colours, or sit with yourself and your feelings, know that whatever feels good for you, right now in this moment, that is enough.

See supplies and tips below the video.

  • Canson XL cold press watercolour paper pad

  • Opus Art Supplies brand watercolour brushes

  • Watercolour paints (Daniel Smith, Opus Art Supplies Essential Watercolours, Winsor & Newton)

  • Water jar & rag

  • Round tracer (I used my grandma’s cake pan)

  • Scissors

  • Sakura Micron Pen black

  • Posca paint pen in white

  • Sakura Gelli pens in white

Tips:
